State Rep Daniel Biss Hosting Town Hall with ComEd August 1

Can we expect more power outages this summer? This winter? What is Commonweath Edison doing to fortify the grid?
State Representative Daniel Biss is hosting a town hall meeting to discuss the power outages at the Glenview Police Station 7 p.m., Monday, August 1. Area resident are invited to come speak with municipal leaders and ComEd representatives.
“We have seen several destructive storms in the past few weeks and many people have lost their power two, three or even four times for days on end. People are frustrated and nervous about losing power again, especially as we experience high temperatures," said Biss.
"I hope that people can attend the meeting to let us know how they’ve been affected and hear from ComEd representatives about ComEd’s plans to improve their ability to respond to these outages.”
In Springfield, Daniel Biss represents Illinois state's 17th District which includes parts of Evanston, Glencoe, Glenview, Morton Grove, Northbrook, Skokie, Wilmette, and Winnetka and all of Golf and Northfield.
18th District residents might like to know that Robyn Gabel is expected at the town hall.
Also expected is District 57's Elaine Nekritz, Glenview's Kerry Cummings, Northbrook's Sandy Frum and Northfield's Fred Gougler.
The Glenview Police Station is at 2500 E Lake Ave. in Glenview.
